Medical Health Services
The Jackson County Jail provides access to medically necessary healthcare services to address a wide range of physical, behavioral, and dental health needs for individuals in custody. Care begins with an intake health screening and continues through a structured sick-call process, ensuring timely evaluation and treatment by qualified healthcare professionals.
Services include acute and chronic care management, medication administration, and coordination with outside providers for specialty or emergency care when needed. Referrals to our Behavioral Health Services are available for assessment, crisis intervention, and ongoing support.
The jail also offers Medication for Opioid Use Disorder (MOUD), including medications such as methadone, buprenorphine, and naltrexone, as clinically appropriate. These services support withdrawal management, reduce overdose risk, and promote continuity of care.
All services are delivered in accordance with correctional healthcare standards, with a focus on safety, confidentiality, and continuity of care.
