Welcome to the Jackson County Recycling Department

The mission of the Recycling Program is to encourage management of waste as a resource to help ensure a clean and healthy Jackson County for future generations.  Our goal is to increase waste material reuse and recycling in Jackson County.  Our communities and businesses benefit from a more efficient economy and a cleaner environment when waste becomes a resource.

The Zoning, Planning and POWTS Department is responsible for administration and enforcement of the recycling ordinance and related chapters of the Wisconsin Administrative Code and Statutes that are in effect.  We develop policies and offer assistance to actively encourage the reduction, recycling and reuse of wastes as raw materials for new products.
