COUNTY SURVEYOR'S OFFICE
Courthouse,
307 Main Street
Black River Falls, WI 54615
The Land Information consists of two full time people
who perform a combination of functions. These
include: County Surveyor, Land Information
Coordinator, GIS Technician, Real Property Lister, and
E911 Coordinator.
The primary focus of the department is the acquisition
and maintenance of all information related to Land
Records. This includes, but is not limited to:
maintaining all survey records, maps, and aerial
photography; re-monumentation of the Public Land Survey
section corners; maintaining the County’s Geographical
Information System (GIS); updating & mapping parcel
boundaries; listing all parcels for assessment and
taxation purposes; and addressing property based on
Jackson County’s Emergency-911 standards.
The Land Info Department encourages the public use of
the “Jackson County Web Mapping” site. The website
offers parcel boundary maps, aerial photography, road
centerlines, municipal boundaries, etc. Property
record and tax data is also available. Permit and zoning
information is accessible on the site and is being updated
continuously. Scanned survey
records and deed information is now available with
subscription options that best suit your needs. Check out our
website at
www.jacksoncountymapping.com
The Department is also home to a large format scanner
and plotter. Both machines can scan or plot up to
42 inches. They are available for use for a
nominal fee (see our Fees, Forms & Policies link).
Please contact the Land Info department for scheduling.
