Inpatient Treatment
Inpatient Treatment
Emergency stabilization of acute mental illness and personal
crisis as well as medical detoxification from alcohol or drugs is provided in
an inpatient setting. This service area
also includes inpatient treatment for alcohol and drug abuse in either a
hospital or Community Based Residential Facility.
Residential Care
Community Based Residential Facilities, or group homes, and
Adult Foster Homes provide a combination of basic needs, supervision, and some
behavioral treatment and counseling for persons with serious mental illnesses
and persons needing additional support to maintain sobriety from alcohol and
drugs.
Case Management
The mental health coordinator provides case management
services, guiding individuals through the legal system when they are detained
by law enforcement for emergency protection, committed, or protectively placed
by the court for involuntary services.
Individuals’ treatment needs are assessed, appropriate services arranged
and the court is kept appraised of progress and compliance.
Community Prevention
Together for Jackson County Kids acts as a
collaboration of community agencies and professionals for joint planning and
shared resources to address youth who are at risk of chemical dependency,
tobacco use, delinquency, pregnancy, suicide, etc. The Underage Alcohol Violation Program offers an educational
alternative to court sanctions for youth who are convicted of underage
drinking.
