COUNTY HUMANE SOCIETY The Jackson County Humane Society (JCHS) is a
non-profit organization working closely with the Animal Shelter to ensre the welfare of
animals in our community.
JCHS MAIN GOALS
- Encourage responsible pet ownership.
- Reduce the number of unwanted companion animals.
JCHS HISTORY
- JCHS received a state charter as a non-profit organization in 1977.
- The Humane Society has a board of directors elected on an annual basis. The public is
always welcome to attend the annual meeting every February.
- JCHS operates solely from financial support through contributions, fundraisers,
memorials and commitments of time from members and other volunteers. If you would like to
support the Humane Society or the Animal Shelter, please call the shelter at 715-284-0251.
DONATIONS to the Jackson County Humane Society are primarily used for
spay/neuter and other humane educational programs and to supplement the care of animals at
the shelter and in the community. Over the years, JCHS has provided substantial funds for
shelter improvements, supplies, and other various shelter needs. |
