JCHS MAIN GOALS

  • Reduce the number of unwanted companion animals.

JCHS HISTORY

  • JCHS received a state charter as a non-profit organization in 1977.
  • The Humane Society has a board of directors elected on an annual basis. The public is always welcome to attend the annual meeting every February.
  • JCHS operates solely from financial support through contributions, fundraisers, memorials and commitments of time from members and other volunteers. If you would like to support the Humane Society or the Animal Shelter, please call the shelter at 715-284-0251.

DONATIONS to the Jackson County Humane Society are primarily used for spay/neuter and other humane educational programs and to supplement the care of animals at the shelter and in the community. Over the years, JCHS has provided substantial funds for shelter improvements, supplies, and other various shelter needs.
